What You Need to Know Now
Approaching Stanford forms deadline has passed
If you haven't already submitted your forms, please do so as soon as possible! Email frosh@stanford.edu if you need further assistance
Cardinal Care Newsletter sent electronically to incoming freshmen on June 8
The Freshman Mailings Content List noted that the Cardinal Care Newsletter was to be included in Mailing #1. However, this was not included in the first mailing and was instead sent electronically to your Stanford email account on June. We apologize for the delays!
Updates to the Parents Mailing
A letter from Vice Provost John Bravman will not be included in the Parents Mailing, as indicated on the Freshmen Mailings Content List. Instead, it will have two additional items. The first insert regards a correction to the Winter Quarter move-in date and the second is a letter from Student Financial Services, which details the recent changes in the University billing and payment procedures.
The scheduled shipping date for Three Books was June 26
Please allow two weeks for domestic addresses and three weeks for international addresses from June 26 for receipt of this mailing. If after the specified time frame you have not received your books, please contact our office at frosh@stanford.edu.
Stanford Pre-Orientation Trips (SPOT)
Stanford Athletics offers pre-orientation trips that begin on September 9. You can apply online at http://spot.stanford.edu or contact the SPOT team with questions at spot@stanford.edu. Please note that the financial aid application process for SPOT closes on June 25 and the regular registration process closes on July 9.
Complete your Admitted Student Questionnaire
We need your insight! If you haven't yet had the chance to complete the online survey, please visit the Stanford Admitted Student Questionnaire at: https://www.asqsurvey.com/plus/stanford. To log in, use the unique ID and password sent to you via email by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
Update to Stanford University Payment Methods
Changes will be made to the Stanford University payment methods this summer; one of the options described in the Finances section of the Approaching Stanford handbook will no longer be available. For further information about these changes:
- Read the Fingate bulletin on Changes to University Bill Payment Methods
- Refer to the insert that will be included in the Parents Mailing (to be posted June 26).

An official copy of your final transcript must be mailed (not faxed) to:
Office of Undergraduate Admission
Stanford University
Montag Hall, 355 Galvez St.
Stanford, CA 94305-6106
How can I be sure my final high school transcript has been received?

Your Stanford ID number is located on your Stanford acceptance letter and on the welcome letter from Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education that was sent in the first big Approaching Stanford mailing.
I need to make changes to the information I submitted on my Approaching Stanford forms. How do I do that?
Once you submit your forms, you won’t be able to go back into the forms to make changes. Thus, it’s very important that you review your answers before you send them to us. If you have questions about this, please send an email to frosh@stanford.edu.
Can I still make changes to my IHUM or Housing Preferences on my Approaching Stanford forms?
It is too late to make changes to your preference lists, as the IHUM and Housing offices have already begun the matching process.
The system won’t accept my digital photo on Form #14. What’s wrong?
Your photo is used for a number of purposes, including your ID card and the Facebook that is printed and given to all incoming students. To meet these different needs, we require some specific requirements for your photo. We have a page set up to help guide you through the process here.
